I know that a lot of people, including me, have trouble voicing their opinions on important matters to other people. So, here is a tip so you guys can become more comfortable when it comes to talking about your own opinions.
--
1. Know your opinion on a topic.
If you don't even know what your opinion is, how can you ever voice it? Do research about this topic and find out which side you want to be on. It doesn't matter who else supports/ is against it; you need to chose what fits you best.
2. Do some research.
So some research about your opinion and learn about the opposing opinion as well. When talking to people about this topic, it helps to know what they might be thinking.
3. Start small.
You might want to shout your opinion to the world, but it is better to start small. You can start by typing a post on your blog, polyvore, or even talking on forums that support your opinion. This way you will know how it feels to tell other people, but you won't be shouting it out to everyone you know. Then, tell your friends and family your opinion. True friends and your family will support you, even if they don't agree. Then, as this topic comes up, you will be able to tell people you don't know!
4. Stick to your opinion.
Make sure that you truly believe your opinion or you will easily be swayed to either side of the topic. To stick to this opinion, talk to people with similar opinions on tumblr, twitter, polyvore, or even start a club at your school!

Well, I hope I helped you guys gain the confidence to voice your own opinion, whether you are talking about gay marriage, being a vegetarian, or abortion!
